The Design

The first detail on the obverse side is the wave pattern on the background. The Royal Mint seal is on top, and the bar’s hallmarks are vertically aligned beneath it. The information refers to weight, fineness, and metal content and read: “100g,” “999.9,” and “FINE GOLD.” 

The same wavy background pattern is on the reverse, which stamps a Britannia version by artist Jody Clark. The inscription in capital letters on the lower left is “BRITANNIA”.
