Boasting a mintage of just 107,132 coins, the 1986 1 oz Chinese Gold Panda coins are a rare find in the precious metals market. Sealed in original mint packaging, these coins are untouched and are in mint condition – as received directly from the People’s Bank of China.

Since their release in 1982, Chinese Gold Panda Coins have been one of the most popular gold bullion coins in the world.

Each of these 1986 gold coins contains 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure gold. Additionally, they also bear a face value of 100 Yuan, guaranteed by the People’s Bank of China.

The obverse of this coin showcases the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the only part of the gold coin that does not undergo an annual design change.

Reverses of these coins on the other hand, feature the famed annually-changing panda design. This 1986 Chinese Gold Panda depicts an adult panda standing amidst bamboo branches, staring intently ahead.

Annually changing designs in conjunction with being one of the earlier Chinese Gold Panda Coin releases makes these 1986 Chinese Gold Panda coins coveted precious metals products. Moreover, their untouched condition (complete with original mint packaging), appeals to collectors who prefer mint condition coins for their collections.

Investors have always seen value in relatively rarer coins, and with an extremely limited mintage and an issue year of over two decades ago – make these excellent additions that diversify precious metals assets.
