Pre-33 Gold Coins are treasured for their long history and limited availability. SD Bullion now offers the $20 Liberty Double Eagle Gold Coin (XF) - Random Year for the Lowest premium over the gold spot price.

The $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin was first struck in 1850 when there was an increase in gold supply after the California Gold Rush. The coin was struck featuring the Liberty Head design from 1850-1907 and the Saint-Gauden design was featured from 1908-1933.

The current $20 Liberty Double Eagle Gold Coin (XF) - Random Year is given an XF grading, meaning Extremely Fine. This grading is based on the Sheldon Scale and means light overall wear visible on the design and some mint luster still showing.

These coins each have 0.9675 troy ounces of pure gold in them. The value of these Liberty Double Eagles, like that of other pre-1933 gold coins, stems from both their gold content and their historical significance, making them excellent long-term investments.

The obverse of these coins features James B. Longacre's original picture of Lady Liberty. Despite its antiquity, the design is an appropriate portrayal of American principles and, like all American Gold Eagles that followed these coins, still emanates patriotism.

The reverse features the original Heraldic Eagle design that inspired the modern designs you see on American Gold Eagles today. The face value and issuing country surround the beautiful design.

With Pre-33 gold always in high demand, these coins are not guaranteed to last long. Purchase yours today!
