The Scottsdale Mint expands its impressive silver bullion lineup with a silver bullion coin struck for the Republic of Congo. These 2017 Congo Water Buffalo Silver Coins are struck using 100 grams (approximately 3.215 troy ounces) of 0.999 pure silver.
Every 100 gram 2017 Water Buffalo Silver Coin is in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition, and are shipped as received from direct mint sources. They carry a face value of 50 CDF (Congolese Franc), and the Republic of Congo recognizes them as legal tender.
The reverses of these coins feature the half face of a water buffalo, bearing a stern expression and looking ahead intently. A silhouette of another buffalo standing in the distance can be seen in the background as well. Furthermore, the weight and purity of the silver in the coin is imprinted on this side.
While the reverse displays the image of a buffalo, the obverse of this coin highlights the brilliant emblem of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The outer rim features the name of the issuing country ‘Republique Democratique Du Congo’ and the face value ’50 Francs CFA.’
These 100-gram 2017 Congo Water Buffalo Silver Coins are relatively large, and will be healthy additions to precious metals assets – diversifying them at the same time. Since this is the first release of this coin, in addition to featuring brilliant designs, pure silver, and a limited mintage of just 30,000 pieces, they are set to become a mainstay in coin collections across the globe.
