Buy 2018 2 oz Ascension of Jesus Biblical Silver Coins Online

The basis of the designs of the Biblical Coins series by Scottsdale Mint is taken directly from Bible engravings by Gustave Doré. The design team of Scottsdale did not simply translate the originals of Doré into the coins. Rather, staying faithful to the originals, each scene was translated into the modern medium of high-relief, antique-finish, silver coining. This Ascension of Jesus in the Biblical Series is a marvelous example.

The obverse features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Raphael Maklouf similarity surrounded by weight, pureness, and face value.

The reverse features a rendering of Gustave Doré's illustration, "Ascension of Jesus" (Plate 192), which aims to display the scene as described in the Gospel of Mark and Acts and mentioned in the Bible. Doré's design concept is superb! Once again, the design team at Scottsdale caught not only the essence of the initial Doré work but the very nature of the work of the creator.

.The edge has the serial number laser-etched on it, from 1 to 1499, which fits the serial number displayed on the certificate of authenticity.

Each coin is antique brushed, hand distressed by a team of specialized artisans directed by sculptor D'Almeida Novissimo, and is limited in mintage to 1499 pieces. The final results are unique works of art honoring each coins' timeless story, individually encased in a Bible Gift Box.
