Closely following its hugely popular silver counterparts, Scottsdale Mint's 2018 1 oz Cayman Island Gold Marlin Coin features the exceptional marine-themed designs and the backing of the Cayman Islands we have come to expect from coins in this series.

Each coin contains 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure gold. Struck by the famed Scottsdale Mint in the United States of America and backed by the Cayman Islands, these gold coins carry face values of of $5 (USD).

The obverse side of the coin bears the familiar portrayal of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, facing right. The year of mintage and face value of the coin is also imprinted around this portrait. Minute wave-like patterns on the edges of the face add depth to this design, while highlighting the marine theme of the coin.

Reversing the coin showcases the main attraction of the coin -- a gorgeous portrayal of a majestic marlin leaping above the surface of the water. The famed Royal Cipher of Queen Elizabeth II, 'ER,' is also clearly imprinted on this side. Moreover, the edges feature the purity and weight of the gold in the coin.

Additionally, the coin comes sealed in a tamper-proof plastic enclosure containing a unique serial number. With a mintage of merely 10,000 and pure gold content, these 2018 1 oz Cayman Islands Gold Marlin Coins are perfect for adding to both precious metals portfolios and gold coin collections.
