2018 One Ounce Mexican Silver Libertads For Sale
Marking the 37th release under the
Mexican Libertad Silver Coin program, these 2018 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertads feature the gorgeous, familiar designs that we have come to appreciate more with each passing year.
The Mexican Mint, or the Casa de Moneda de México, launched this series in 1991. Back then, the Silver Libertads only had a single 1 oz variant, and continued to do so for the next several years. Fractional weight releases were added to this program only later in 1991.
Each of these coins contains 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver. However, unlike other government-minted silver bullion coins, the Mexican Libertads aren't assigned legal tender status with a face value.
A sculptural relief design of the National Shield of Mexico (National Coat of Arms) on the obverse side grabs your attention almost immediately. This design is surrounded by the legend 'Estados Unidos Mexicanos' and all the National Coat of Arms used by Mexico in the past.
On the other hand, the reverses bear the brilliant portrayal of the Winged Victory Statue with the volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl in the backdrop. While the statue is an important symbol of the Mexican independence struggle, the volcanoes are an important part of their landscape and Nahua lore.
The 2018 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are ideal for both collectors and investors since these silver bullion coins will add
pure silver to your tangible assets and allow you to maintain complete sets of the Mexican Libertad series as well.
