In addition, the letters “JC” can be seen on the image of Her Majesty, being the initials of the designer.

The reverse of the new Australian Gold Kangaroo features a brand new design. This time around we see an adult mother kangaroo standing upright with her offspring, or joey, in the background. The two are shown on the open grassland plains with two Australian grass trees that are commonly found in the outback. Surrounding the image on the coin’s reverse are the words “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” along with “2020 1oz 9999 GOLD”. The “P” mint mark of the Perth Mint can also be seen on this face of the coin.
