The Yale of Beaufort is the seventh Queen’s Beasts Coin released in the series of ten. The tenth and final release will be the White Greyhound of Richmond, and will be released in silver in late 2020. The platinum versions of the Queen’s Beasts coins are released the following year along with their 10 oz silver variant after their initial release in their 2 oz silver weight.

The reverse of these coins beautifully capture the Yale, a mythical creature that is often depicted with the body of a horse, the tusks of a boar, and the horns of an antelope. One of its more distinctive features was its ability to swivel each of its horns independently. This creature was named the 'Centicore' in Latin -- indicating that its story stretches far back into history. This side also features the specifications of the coin of “1 oz FINE PLATINUM 999.5 2020” on the right side of the design.

The obverse features the fifth iteration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's portrait. Her right profile is depicted, complete with the Royal crown perched atop her head.
