Mexican Mint

The Mexican Mint, officially known as La Casa de Moneda de México, is the country's authoritative mint as well as one of the continent's oldest active mints. The Spanish Viceroy established the mint in 1535. The popular Gold Centenario Coins served as inspiration for the Gold Libertads, and their current design is extremely similar to that of the popular Gold Centenario Coins.

Each coin contains 1/10th troy ounces of .999 pure gold. This coin’s purity is backed by the Banco de Mexico - Mexico's National Bank. Gold Libertads are known for their gorgeous design, limited mintage, and high-quality striking.

On the reverses of these coins, Mexico's power and independence symbols are depicted. The two volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl, represent emancipation, while the Winged Victory monument in the foreground is a symbol of Mexico's struggle for independence. The obverse features the Mexican Coat of Arms.
