Lady Justice is a historical person who has been around for a long time. One of the first examples can be found in the Roman Empire around the year 100 AD. Design:

The obverse design of the new release features Lady Justice herself. She is shown in a blindfold, carrying a sword in one hand and a scale in the other. The seven stars below her show the battle for impartial justice, where one side has 4 and the other has 3. The scene is completed with the inscription "JUSTICE" on the top of the coin, as well as the Latin phrase "fides et justitia," which means "faith and justice." Finally, to the right of the woman, the year of issue is shown.

The Gibraltar Coat of Arms, year of issue, weight, purity, and denomination of the coin are all featured on the reverse.
