The exquisite Gold Bald Eagle Coins are the third release in the startup "World's Wildlife" collection, which included the Whale and Giraffe within the last two years. This series is similar to the Perth Mint's Kangaroo, Koala, and Kookaburra series in that each coin will have a limited mintage and the design will vary each year. The Gold Bald Eagle coin has a limited edition of just 1,000 coins. 

The prestigious Geiger Mint in Germany minted these Gold Bald Eagle coins using .9999 pure gold bullion. To retain the consistency of each gold coin, it is individually encapsulated. The coin has a face value of 100 francs and is sponsored by the Congolese government.

Design of the Coin

The obverse face features a majestic bald eagle flying over an array of mountains. The title of the series, World’s Wildlife, is found on the bottom border of the coin. “The Bald Eagle” is imprinted on the top half of the coin.

The reverse is consistent with all of the other World’s Wildlife coins. The reverse features a leopard's face depicted in the middle, with a tusk to the left and a spear to the right. There are also three signs that read "JUSTICE," "PAIX," and "TRAVAIL," respectively, which signify "Justice," "Peace," and "Labor." On either side of the pattern, the numbers "20" and "21" are minted, with the words "1 oz Ag 999.9" below. The words “REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO” & “20 FRANCS”." are engraved across the coin's circumference.
