The Tenth Ounce Gold Eagles contain .1 ounces of pure gold bullion. Within the first 30 days of production, the coins were shipped directly from the US Mint to PCGS, which is why they are designated as 'First Strike' coins. These coins were rated by NGC as completely flawless, awarding them a grade of MS-70, which is the highest grade a coin can obtain.

With a torch in her left hand and an olive branch in her right, the obverse design of these gold coins shows Lady Liberty proudly striding ahead. The coin's circumference is filled with six-pointed stars. 2022 and the word "LIBERTY" minted at the very top of the coin.

The brand new reverse design for the 2021 Gold Eagles depicts a portrait of an eagle. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “5 DOLLARS,” and “1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD.” Mint Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) designer Jennie Norris created the sculpted Mint Medallic Artist Renata Gordon design.
