The Design

The reverse displays the feminine personification of the nation, the Winged Victory, on the top of a monument located in Mexico City. Behind her, the mountains Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl complete the image. The words imprinted are: “1/20 ONZA ORO PURO” and “LEY .999”, which means weight, metal content, purity, and the year of issuance.
