The brand new design for the 2022 Gold Eagles depicts a portrait of an eagle. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “10 DOLLARS,” and “1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD.” Mint Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) designer Jennie Norris created the sculpted Mint Medallic Artist Renata Gordon design.

A portrait of a bald eagle is included on the completely new design for the 2022 Gold Eagles.The reverse face features a well-detailed eagle's head, intently peering out over the horizon. The artist expressed her desire to combine "pride and wisdom passed down through decades of antiquity. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "10 DOLLARS," and "1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD" are among the inscriptions encircling the eagle. The sculpted Mint Medallic Artist Renata Gordon design was produced by Mint Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) designer Jennie Norris.

The obverse design of Gold Eagles feature Lady Liberty confidently striding forward with a torch in her left hand and an olive branch in her right. The circumference of the coin is filled with 6-pointed stars. 2022 will be minted to the right of her, with the word “LIBERTY” minted at the very top of the coin.
