The Design

Triangular patterns arch over the gorilla depiction, while the inscription “CONGO SILVERBACK GORILLA” lies on the bottom rim. The words “ONE OUNCE .9999 GOLD” stand on the left, referring to the coin’s weight, purity, and metal content, while “2022” is on the right.

The reverse showcases the national seal of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The upper rim reads: “REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO,” and the coin’s face value is on the bottom, through “3000 FRANCS CFA.”
