The Perth Mint was established in 1899 as one of three British Royal Mint operations in Australia. The mint was not transferred to the Australian Government's jurisdiction until 1970, and it is now the last of the three original branches to remain active. The Design

Struck with .9995 pure platinum, this one-ounce coin features the gorgeous design of the Tiger. Ferociously perched atop a rock, the tiger is depicted looking over its back, showing its teeth and claws. The tiger’s fur is depicted in great detail. To the left of the beast is the Chinese symbol for the tiger with the word “TIGER,” and “2022” beneath it. Lastly, Perth Mint’s mint mark is seen to the leftmost side of the coin. 

The reverse is similar to that of many other Perth coins. The coin has a legal tender value of 100 dollars, backed by the Australian government. The classic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is seen in the middle of the coin and the weight, purity, issuing country and face value all surround her. 

Although the exact mintage is not set, Perth Mint will not produce more than 5,000 one-ounce coins worldwide. Each coin will be shipped in an individual capsule.
