The Design

The coin’s design is a creation of Phil Lewis, the artist famous for his kaleidoscopic depictions of animals and nature. The 7 Chakra Series features his mosaic patterns and the chakras’ corresponding symbols from the Hindu culture.

The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II’s portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The depiction is encircled by “ELIZABETH II,” “SOLOMON ISLANDS,” and “5 DOLLARS”, standing for the coin’s face value. On the bottom rim, the inscriptions refer to the coin’s weight, metal content, and purity through: “2 OZ AG 999.9.” 

The Eagle of the Sixth Chakra is displayed on the reverse side. With a colorful depiction, the Eagle got a frontal-face close-up with a hooked beak and staring eyes. The Eagle has a third open eye inside an inverted triangle, representing enlightenment and the chakra’s moniker, and lower feathers with several eyes stamped as a pattern.
