Buy MS-65 Morgan Silver Dollars Online

Morgan Silver Dollars were minted in two stints with the first being from 1878-1904 and the second in 1921. The US government decided to stop minting silver dollars from 1904 until 1921 due to the need for silver in other capacities. These particular Morgan Dollars will be from the first mintage run. Morgan silver dollars were produced at five separate US Mint locations, three of which are still operational and the other two have since closed. The three still-active mint locations are Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. The two that have since closed were New Orleans and Carson City. The Morgan Dollars you receive could be from any of these five mint locations.

There were about 657 million Morgan Dollars minted from 1878-1921, and just 409,000 of those minted have been certified to be in MS-65 condition by PCGS. That is just .06% of the entire mintage, so you can be sure you are getting a very uncommon product with these graded Morgan Silver Dollars.

The obverse features Lady Liberty’s left-facing profile with the words “E PLURIBUS UNUM” above her, the year of mintage below her, and 13 stars around the bottom edge of the coin.

The reverse features a bald eagle with “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” & “ONE DOLLAR” around the edge. “In God We Trust” is minted just above the eagle. If the silver dollar has a mintmark, it will be below the eagle’s tail feathers.
