1988 NGC MS-69 American Silver Eagle Coin For Sale
Total Graded Population Of 130,189!
One of the few coins graded and deemed to be ‘near-perfect’ by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation), these 1988 American Silver Eagle coins have been assigned grades of MS-69. Interestingly, out of the 5 million+ coins minted by the US Mint that year, only 86,774 were granted this grade by NGC.
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation assigns grades to coins after careful inspection. Over two decades of accurate grading and certification has given NGC an unparalleled respect and trust from the precious metals market, with buyers trusting their grades without question. In fact, NGC was established 1987, just a year before this 1988 coin was released.
Only the third coin in this popular coin series, these 1988 American Silver Eagles bear the familiar imagery that makes them instantly distinguishable from other precious metals products.
Each of these coins is struck using 1 troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver, and is assigned a face value of $1 (USD).
Bearing the famed Walking Liberty Design on the obverse, the beautiful rendition of Lady Liberty by Adolph A. Weinman comes to life on the pure silver of this coin. She is seen striding toward the rising sun, with a star spangled flag draped around her shoulders, while she carries a bunch of olive branches in her arm.
These MS-69 American Silver Eagles are in near-perfect condition, making their surface free of any visible imperfections. Hence, they will make great additions to coin collections and their pure silver and popularity contributes in making them an excellent choice for investments in tangible assets.
