2006-W PCGS PR-70 American Silver Eagle Proof Coins For Sale


These 2006-W American Silver Eagle Proof Coins are graded specimens, certified and sealed by PCGS. The excellent condition of these pristine coins is certified by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) grading them a perfect PR-70 Deep Cameo, making them valuable additions to coin collections.


PR-70 grades are awarded to coins that do not exhibit any surface imperfections, even when inspected under 5X magnification. Each of these 2006-W American Silver Eagle Proof coins is minted using 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver. Moreover, they are assigned a $1 (USD) face value by the United States Government.


Established with the intent of standardizing grading, PCGS has a rich history of over three decades of coin grading and inspection. In fact, it has graded coins worth over $29 billion in value.


Adolph A. Weinman created the Walking Liberty design, featured on the obverse of this coin, in 1916. Although it was designed for the Half-Dollar Silver Coin, this image was so widely appreciated that the United States Mint decided to immortalize it by imprinting it on the obverse of every American Silver Eagle.


The Deep Cameo designation awarded to the coin really shows, as the frosted designs gleam in stark contrast to the polished silver surface of the coin. This contrast enhances the beautiful designs, making them almost lifelike.
