Bearing a perfect PR-70 Deep Cameo grade, each of these 2008-W American Silver Eagle Proof Coins has undergone extensive inspection by experts at PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service). While PR-70 grades indicate immaculate coin specimens, Deep Cameo designations are awarded only to coins that display a bright contrast between the polished silver surface of the coin and the frost-finished designs.


Although proof coins were originally struck for record-keeping purposes, the US Mint now mints them for sale due to the huge demand by the coin collectors.


Ever since the United States Mint was instituted in 1792, it has continuously produced precious metals products of the finest quality. Furthermore, considering the trust people place behind grades assigned by PCGS, these PR-70 graded American Silver Eagle Proof Coins are some of the best physical specimens among the coins released in 2008.
