Series:

The Tudor Dynasty was established after the War of the Roses. This battle was a battle for the throne fought between the House of Lancaster and York. After these two dynasties united through marriage, Henry VII assumed the throne and used the tradition of heraldry as another means of displaying his rule. After Henry VII died, his son, Henry VIII took the throne and continued his father's traditional display of rule by lining the Hampton Court Palace with ten stone figures of beasts and mythical creatures. From this comes The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection. 

The collection consists of ten different coins struck in various sizes and metals. The coins are struck in silver, gold and platinum, giving investors multiple avenues of investment and diversity. 

The Tudor Beasts Collection will consist of The Seymour Panther, The Lion of England, the Bull of Clarence, the Tudor Dragon, the Greyhound of Richmond, the Royal Dragon, the Yale of Beaufort, the Seymour Unicorn, the Queen’s Panther, and the Queen’s Lion over the next five years

Design:

The Lion of England is a popular symbol that has been seen throughout England’s history. This beast commonly represents courage, strength, dignity, and pride, all of which represent the regime. 

The reverse face of this coin displays the majestic Lion that is found lining the Moat Bridge of Hampton Court Palace. The lion is shown wearing a gorgeous crown and holding a shield decorated with impaled arms. This coat of arms represents the combination of Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. The coin features intricate details that bring the lion to life. Surrounding the image are the words “Lion of England,” “2 oz,” “Silver 999.9,” and “2022.”

The obverse is similar to that of other popular Royal Mint coins, such as the Silver Britannia or the Queen’s Beasts silver coins. The center features the famous effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark in 2015. The Queen is shown in all her majesty at the age of 89. The words “Elizabeth II,” “DG REG FD,” and the face value of “5 Pounds” are all inscribed around the Queen.
