These coins have become immensely attractive among investors and collectors due to the rarity of a mint flaw. The 2022 NGC MS-69 Mint Error Obverse Struck Thru Silver Eagle Coin is now available for purchase, giving customers the chance to purchase a 2023 Silver Eagle with a unique minting error.

The 2023 NGC MS-69 Mint Error Obverse Struck Thru Silver Eagle Coin is a graded coin assessed by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC). In the United States, NGC is a well-known and respected grading company. The MS-69 grade indicates that the piece was produced with "almost undetectable flaws." Because mint mistake coins contain a mint error defect, they cannot be classed MS-70. However, MS-69 is the highest grade that a mint mistake coin can achieve.

Each coin is housed in an acrylic case with identifying information on the coin. Above the barcode, the label specifies the denomination, grade, and the text "Obverse Struck Thru."

The obverse face depicts the mint error. Surrounding the upper edge of the coin is the word “LIBERTY.” Between the T and Y is a small indent where the mint error is located. The rest of the coin is identical to that of the 2023 Silver American Eagle.
